We have two programs to offer beginning (1st Year) skaters, Learn to Skate and Intro to Hockey. Both programs are FREE.
Learn to Skate
What is Learn to Skate?
Our Learn to Skate program consists of four sessions where we will teach your kids the basics and give them a feel for the ice.
The program includes on-ice instruction for Girls and Boys ages 4* to 12, beginning with basic skating and continuing with the introduction of hockey equipment. All necessary equipment is provided, INCLUDING SKATES.
*Must be age 4 by January 1st, no exceptions!
When is Learn to Skate?
- Sunday, Jan 14, 4:30-5:15 PM
- Monday, Jan 15, 5:30-6:15 PM
- Sunday, Jan 21, 4:30-5:15 PM
- Monday, Jan 22, 5:30-6:15 PM
Skaters please arrive 60 - 65 mins early for equipment fitting the first night.

Intro to Hockey
What is intro to hockey?
This program begins on Sunday, Oct 15th and follows up Learn to Skate. Participants are encouraged, but not required to attend Learn to Skate prior to this.
This is a basic skating/stick handling program tailored to individual needs. Skaters advance and transition to teams at their own pace. Cross ice skating with small ice games are promoted. Program is FREE to first year skaters ages 4*-14. Equipment, INCLUDING SKATES, is provided FREE. Refundable equipment deposit is required.
*Must be age 4 by January 1st, no exceptions!
When is intro to hockey?
Skate times are Mondays in early evening and Sunday mid-afternoons.
How do I register?
Registration is required. In order to complete the registration process, you will need the following:
- Create a Crossbar account on this website. See our Parent Info page for details.
- USA hockey registration number for each player registering (register at USA Hockey).
- Complete the 2023-2024 registration by clicking the Register button below.
